On Wednesday morning, third grade students gave a show as part of the Pink October campaign against breast cancer. Heart touching.

Orchestrated by the incomparable Madame Venthou-Dumaine, teacher librarian of the college, the show was given by inspired students in front of an audience of other curious students and sincerely touched by this disease which continues to wreak havoc. The watchword of this initiative, strongly supported by Mr. Houpert, Deputy Principal, was prevention and the importance of screening because a disease diagnosed at the earliest drastically increases the chances of recovery and survival. To complete the teaching team which led from a master of this show, we will quote Madame Milaire, professor of physical science who, for two sessions at noon, choreographed a dance performed by five young girls full of grace; Madame Lepel, professor of visual arts, who guided the students of her class in the realization of paintings and a sculpture related to the theme of breast cancer, emphasizing the need to be surrounded to go through this hard test of life ; Madame Thillaud, French teacher, Madame Afrika, English teacher and Madame Raquet (CPE) made possible the various and varied performances. The pupils of the third Maupassant as well as other of their comrades gave a spectacle consisting of song, readings of poems and educational texts explaining and defining the key terms of the disease.

A full presentation by Madam Marlène Toma, midwife, enabled the whole room to better understand the disease, its consequences, its treatments and its impact on the victims and their entourage. The presentation was followed by an exchange of questions and answers between the person concerned and the young audience. In conclusion, the intervention of two nurses was an essential moment of sharing to complete this emotional morning. _VX
