EDUCATION: "Animals around me", new cultural coloring book

0

The prolific association Les Fruits de Mer has just published a new book, as educational as it is fun, entitled "Animals around me", for the pleasure of all.

Edition dedicated to the fauna of Saint-Martin, this explanatory coloring book describes forty-four animals living in the area. Each page describes, explains and details an animal, all accompanied by a coloring to reproduce the authentic colors, or why not give free rein to your imagination. Birds, lizards, insects, snails, sea birds, crabs, ducks, herons, butterflies, whether in the sky, on land or at sea, the panel of animals present in Saint-Martin is fascinating. This initiative of the Seafood Association highlights the animal richness of the island while educating young and old. This book is aimed at all ages because it is not just a coloring book. Learning is also done in observation using this book as a logbook when spotting an animal. Coloring allows you to familiarize yourself with the animal. The information that accompanies each drawing provides information on the name, habits, peculiarities, habitat or even the diet of the local creature. A drawing space has also been provided to stage what is observed and the surrounding environment; as well as an insert to write his feelings, his own description, his analysis of the animal. It's smart, educational, artistic and original. If the book is available for download via the association's website (see info) or for purchase on Amazon, you only have until the end of next week to get one of the hundred copies available for free at the Amuseum Naturalis which is located next to the Ranch du Galion, on the road to Quartier d'Orléans. Small plus: the content is in French and English. Book written by Mark Yokoyama, illustrated by Paulina Hernández and edited by Jenn Yerkes (Les Fruits de Mer). With the support of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin and the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion. _Vx
