For several weeks, the containers that will house the Marigot lolos have been closed while their layout is finished. The first reason for their non-investment is that they do not fully correspond to the wishes of traders. At least some of their requests have not yet been met by the Community; the main one being to provide shade to customers.
The question was raised again two weeks ago during a meeting between the COM and the lolos association. The elected officials explained that from an administrative point of view they could not program the installation of tents as the restaurateurs wanted. “The cost of this measure means that tenders must be placed. And if we do, it will take several months, ”says Valérie Damaseau.
The lolos association then entrusted to have an alternative solution which must be studied by the vice-president Steven Patrick in charge of the file this week.
