The Sint Maarten police intervened at the scene of an accident which took place on Saturday August 20 near Juliana airport.
Around 6 am, the Sint Maarten police telephone exchange received a call concerning a serious accident between two cars which occurred on the road to the airport and during which two people had been injured. The driver of the gray colored Hyundai suffered arm and leg injuries while the passenger of the blue Tucson suffered a broken wrist as a result of the accident. The two victims received emergency first aid by ambulance personnel called to the scene before being transferred to the Sint Maarten Medical Center in Little Bay. Later that day, the victim and driver of the gray Hyundai was transported to Center Hospitalier Louis Constant Fleming for further medical attention. _VX
