Dengue: More than 9 cases identified in Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth

If attention is focused on the coronavirus, for several weeks now, another virus has been present in us, that of dengue. Each year, many cases are identified in Guadeloupe, as well as in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.

In Guadeloupe, since the start of the epidemic in mid-October 2019, nearly 7 estimated clinically suggestive cases of dengue fever have been seen in city medicine.
After an increase in the number of clinically suggestive cases seen in town medicine at the beginning of April, the end of the month is back down with nearly 115 weekly cases estimated, a drop of 70%.
In Saint-Martin, nearly 1 cases clinically suggestive of dengue fever have been recorded, according to the epidemiological point of Public Health France.
In Saint-Barthélemy, since December 261 cases clinically suggestive of dengue have consulted a general practitioner, 20% of whom in the last two weeks.
