The handover ceremony took place yesterday in front of the Hotel de la Collectivité. It was Guillaume Arnell who first spoke to the former mandate: “Let us be proud of what we have accomplished together and thank you for having served our island and its people.”
The members of the Territorial Council then elected Daniel Gibbs as president of the Collectivity. His candidacy, the only one proposed, collected 18 ballots for, four blanks and one draw. Regarding the executive council, it is Valérie Damaseau who was elected 1st vice-president. The members of the Territorial Council then voted for Yawo Nyuiadzi, 2nd vice-president, Annick Petrus, 3rd vice-president, Steven Patrick, 4th vice-president, and for Marie-Dominique Ramphort and Louis Mussington as members. _EH
