Daniel Gibbs: "We must participate massively in the public inquiry on PPRn"

0

The State has just opened the public inquiry phase on the application of the Anticipated Natural Risk Prevention Plan (PPRN) of Saint-Martin.

The public inquiry is a major step necessary for the State to approve this new document on the cyclonic hazard, it takes place until October 31, 2019 included.

Why we must participate overwhelmingly at this public inquiry?

BECAUSE HE is crucial for the future of our territory, of Saint-Martin and Saint-Martin, to participate fully in this survey,

BECAUSE HE is essential at this stage to make our voices heard,

BECAUSE on July 17, the Territorial Council of Saint-Martin, which represents the population of Saint-Martin and its economic players, gave a unanimous opinion against the anticipated application of the PPRN. The Collectivity was massively supported in its approach by Parliamentarians, the Interprofessional Consular Chamber of Saint-Martin (CCISM), the Economic, Social and Cultural Council of Saint-Martin (CESC), the District Councils, associations of co-owners and professional federations.

BECAUSE by rejecting this version of the PPRN, we expressed our strong will to build with the State an acceptable plan, taking into account both the security of the inhabitants and the future development of these coastal areas with high socio-economic potential.

TOGETHER, we request a postponement of the application of the PPRN to allow time for a broader consultation of residents and socio-economic actors and lead to a PPRN revised accordingly, better thought out and better adapted to our realities.

I invite you to meet the investigating commissioners and tell them your proposals and counter-proposals in the public inquiry register opened for this purpose at the prefecture of Saint-Martin, at the following times:

- Monday Tuesday Thursday :

8:00 a.m. - 13:00 p.m. / 14:00 p.m. - 16:30 p.m.

- Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 13:00 p.m.

You can also make your contribution in writing, by sending your file to the commission of inquiry by the following email: Enquete-publique-saint-martin@saint-barth-saint-martin-gouv.fr

Your contribution can change everything and make the document evolve. With my elected colleagues, we invite you to participate massively in this public inquiry. So doesfuture of Saint Martin ”.
