CULTURE: Two drive-in cinema screenings on Friday

0

Offering two open-air cinema screenings is the first event organized by the Otolithe association. This action is part of the We tribes project that it has been carrying for several months.

“Our desire is to create a third place, that is to say a place where we can work, interact together culturally, economically, etc.”, explains Dominique, the president. For several years now, many citizens have created this type of place in metropolitan France in order to "develop doing things together and re-establish links".

“We are going to set up a digital / digital hub, it will be about making digital tools, co-working and e-learning sessions available to the population. We will also create an herbalist shop to rediscover local herbs and ultimately an educational farm. We will also open a restaurant where there will be no daily menu but someone's recipe… Everyone can present their recipe, ”briefly describes the president.

This third place, Otolithe would like to set up in Galisbay on the former site of the annex to the prefecture which was put up for sale by the State. To do this, it must raise the necessary funds for this acquisition and hopes to attract patrons.

In order to make herself known and exhibit her project, she is organizing two open-air cinema sessions this Friday in the Galisbay car park; the public will be installed in the cars to respect the sanitary measures. "Meals may however be served and will be brought by young people from Jeunesse Soualiga, in the cars", adds Dominique.

Two films will be screened, one for children at 18 p.m. (Dragons 1), the second for adults at 21:30 p.m. (Black Panther). The public is asked to come one hour in advance to allow the placement of vehicles.
