CRUISES: Baptism of MSC Seaview

0

The first MSC cruise departing from the port of Philipsburg was launched this Sunday, December 5, now listing Sint Maarten as the official port of embarkation for MSC Cruises.

The ceremony was held in the conference room of deck 8 in the presence of the various officials and crew members: Patrick Pourbaix, General Manager France Belgium and Luxembourg of MSC Cruises, Valérie Damaseau, President of the Tourist Office, May Ling Chun, director of the Sint Maarten Tourism Bureau, Lela Simmonds, business development & marketing manager of the Port of Sint Maarten and the commander of MSC Seaview, Corrado Iaconis. As is the maritime tradition when a boat goes to a new embarkation port, the captain and port representatives exchange plaques, symbolizing their collaboration. The moment was moving at the start of the tourist season after months of adversity linked to the health situation. The boarding conditions are also very strict in this area, and rightly so. The liner is as gigantic as it is majestic. Once on board, for any novice in the field of cruises, the scenery is total. When Patrick Pourbaix speaks of the quintessence of the European art of living when he describes the experience of traveling aboard the MSC Seaview, it is felt as soon as you pass the security airlock.

4 swimming pools, 10 restaurants, 20 bars, various and varied entertainment and professional shows every evening. The MSC team has developed two cruise itineraries to stimulate residents of Saint Martin and Sint Maarten to explore the surrounding islands currently open to cruise ships. The first route has stops in Barbados, Saint Lucia, Grenada, St Kitts & Nevis while the second stops at ports in Barbados, Dominica, Tortola, Antigua & Barbuda. Affordable rates start at 350 € per person, all inclusive, and can go up to 2000 € for those who want to live the unique experience of the Yacht Club, particularity of the MSC Seaview: a boat in the boat, this VIP area located at the front of the liner made up of 100 cabins for 200 passengers with butler service and private swimming pool will leave more than one dreaming. Note also that the MSC Seaview is a new generation boat, built in Italy in 2019, the latter is the cleanest in terms of ecology, energy saving, with less CO2 emissions. _VX
