From this Sunday, the domain's rooms will be empty. No more noise. No more kids running around the hallways or the huge park. No more din of cutlery intermingling in the dining room. The 150 Saint-Martinois have now found their own home, almost everywhere in France.
To start again. A new life. "It is an unexpected gift. When I announced to my two children that we were going to have our own apartment, they were in heaven, says Wendy, a 34-year-old hairdresser. We will finally be able to project ourselves ”.
Wendy and her children were settled in Saumur (Maine-et-Loire), in a furnished apartment, close to shops and the school. A "new cocoon where it will be warmer than at the castle", explains Kataleya to her mother Wendy.

Like this family, the 39 others have been gradually moving into their new accommodation since the beginning of the month. In Bordeaux (Gironde), Grenoble (Isère), Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle) or Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin). France Horizon, operator partner of the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion, organizes the departures.
We will continue to support them in all their administrative procedures ”, specifies the general manager of France Horizon, Nabil Neffati.
Job search, rent payment ... Everything is studied on a case by case basis, most returnees already benefiting from the Active Solidarity Income (RSA).
