Conjunctivitis: more than 900 cases in Saint Martin

Since the start of the epidemic of conjunctivitis - which started at the beginning of June -, 910 people have consulted a general practitioner in Saint-Martin, according to the latest bulletin relating to epidemiological surveillance published by Public Health France. The epidemic continues to grow in weeks 24 and 25 with 230 and 320 estimated cases of consultations, respectively. Regarding emergency visits to the Louis Constant Fleming hospital, a total of 22 passages were recorded in week 25. In Saint-Barth, the situation returned to calm in week 25 with 4 cases estimated. The bulletin reminds that in the presence of suspicious signs - redness, glued eyes, tearing - it is advisable to consult a doctor quickly. _EH
