Yesterday took place the ceremony of presentation of the 1st edition of the “Code of the company in overseas” in Paris. The CCISM was present at this event as a founding member of the Association of Overseas CCIs (ACCIOM).
Produced by a multidisciplinary team composed in particular of academics and lawyers, placed under the direction of specialists in overseas law, this document was published at the request of ACCIOM. This code - which covers the overseas departments and regions (excluding Mayotte), and the Northern Islands and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon - contains “the main legislative and regulatory provisions that apply to businesses and, more largely, to economic life overseas ”.

“In order to be able to contribute effectively to economic and employment development, companies need clear, easily accessible and stable regulations. However, this is not the case overseas for many reasons (…). ACCIOM therefore wanted to give both business leaders themselves and the consulting professionals who support them a tool that brings together all the texts, classifies them, makes them easily identifiable and comments on them. . ”
