Opening Ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics: The Games officially open!

The flame is lit at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium. Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, world No. 2, was in charge of the ritual, Friday, July 23, at the end of the opening ceremony.

A few minutes earlier, the Emperor of Japan, Naruhito, declared the Tokyo Olympics open. In front of only a few spectators, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the parade of 206 delegations was opened by Greece and the refugee team. France entered the penultimate position, led by its flag bearers, Clarisse Agbegnenou and Samir Aït Saïd. The gymnast put on the show by rewarding the audience with a perfectly successful somersault!
