Due to health restrictions, it is therefore a ceremonial ceremony in a select committee which was organized on Tuesday July 14, in the Gardens of the Hotel de la Collectivité to celebrate National Day.
In the presence of President Daniel Gibbs, the senator, Guillaume Arnell, the secretary general of the prefecture, Mickael Doré, captain Thierry Verres, deputy to the commander of the gendarmerie company, and representatives of the Association des Anciens Combattants de Saint- Martin held the traditional wreath laying in front of the war memorial before the presentation of decorations and stripes.
Thus, Mickael Doré, secretary general of the prefecture of Saint-Martin Saint-Barthélemy, presented the medal for act of courage and dedication (MACD), bronze level to Captain David Raimond, the bronze level medal to Mr. David Edwards , civilian having intervened during an armed robbery.
Two reserve constables also received a letter of congratulation for an act of courage and dedication. They are Chandra Papayoute and Maud Larrieste.
