Aikitai Jutsu Sxm, the Aikido club of St-Martin, is organizing this weekend (December 19 and 20) an introductory course in Viet Vo Dao.

This course will be led by Marc Raux, 6th dan in this discipline and friend of Félix Lake, 5th dan of Aikido and President of Aikitai Jutsu. The arrival of a master of this rank is a rare event on the island.

Viet Vo Dao or Vovinam is the iconic martial art of Vietnam. It was created by Master Nguyen Loc in the last century. Maître Loc has in fact brought together all the techniques of the ancestral Martial Arts of his country, wrestling and boxing, to develop this unique discipline. The Viet Vo Dao is best known for its spectacular acrobatic scissors.

Beyond its formidable effectiveness, this Art is based on 10 principles, from perseverance to honesty, passing through humility, allowing the human being to be accomplished.

Maître Raux will invite you to discover Viet Vo Dao, in parallel with two other martial arts: Kyokushinkaï Karate and Aikido.

Thierry Saint-Auret, 4th dan of Karate and well-known teacher of our island and Félix Lake, 5th dan of Aikido will be there to make you discover their disciplines in resonance with the Viet Vo Dao. These masters are also associated with the creation since this year of a dojo at Hope Estate bringing together several martial disciplines.

The course which promises to be exceptional is open to all. The participation requested from practitioners will be 20 € for the full course or 15 € per day. It will take place Saturday December 19 from 15 to 18 p.m., and Sunday 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Hope Estate dojo. _AF
