Madininair, the air quality monitoring association on the island, found a small improvement. The index, which was 8 (bad) last Tuesday, stands at 5 (average) today. Pollution alerts are regularly put in place. The association's latest bulletin indicates that the 3rd quarter was marked by “high average concentrations of fine PM10 particles, as well as a significant number of exceedances of regulatory thresholds at all stations. These results are explained by episodes of sand mist more recurrent than usual ”.
