Air: Commercial flights between Paris and Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth banned from March 23 until April 15

To protect our islands from the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the Minister of Health has issued an order to ban commercial flights to and from Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.

From Monday March 23 until Wednesday April 15, 2020, all commercial flights to and from the destination are prohibited.

 

By way of derogation, travel authorized for one of the following reasons is authorized:

  • compelling personal or family reasons;
  • emergency health reason;
  • professional reason which cannot be deferred.

People wishing to benefit from one of these exceptions must present all the documents when boarding to justify the reason for their trip, accompanied by an attestation on the honor of this reason. Without these documents, they will be denied boarding.

The prefecture remains attentive to people wishing to join France travelers encountering difficulties with their plane tickets can contact the prefecture by sending a message including their names, the details of their plane tickets and their phone number to email address covid19prefsaint-barth-saint-martin.gouv.fr

People staying in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy will be subject to the same travel and activity restrictions as the inhabitants of the islands.

The decree also applies to connections between Paris and Martinique, Mayotte, Guadeloupe, Guyana and Réunion.
