Carnival 2017: Safety rules to respect!

0

As part of the organization of Carnival 2017 by the Association "Festivites Carnavalesques de Saint-Martin", President Aline HANSON recalls the basic safety rules in force for the duration of the festivities, from February 12 to March 1, 2017.

The president first asks participants and the public to respect the perimeters and road safety rules established during parades and demonstrations in the carnival village of Galisbay. It is advisable to respect the territorial decrees in force and to be vigilant on the public highway, in particular in the very busy areas like Galisbay.

The President invites parents to watch the children, not to leave them, left to themselves, during the festivities.

During each event in the Carnival village, car traffic will be diverted through the Galisbay car park, a fluorescent signage system will be set up for optimal orientation safety for motorists and pedestrians; vigilance should be exercised in these high traffic areas.

The circulation and parking of any vehicle will be prohibited in the portion of Boulevard Hubert PETIT (route de Galisbay), between the bridge and the exit of the Galisbay public parking lot, on the days and times indicated below:

- Sunday February 12, 2017 from 15 p.m. to 30 p.m.,

- Monday February 20, 2017 from 19:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.,

- Tuesday February 28, 2017 from 19 p.m. to midnight.

- Wednesday March 1, 2017 from 19:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.

All the territorial decrees governing the carnival (AR013-2017 to AR021-2017) are posted collectively and published on the website www.com-saint-martin.fr. The Territorial Police is responsible for the execution of the decrees in force during the Carnival.
