The Celebrity cruise line has announced its return to the Caribbean from June 5 and has chosen Sint Maarten as the departure port for two Celebrity Millennium cruises.

She said the entire crew will be vaccinated against covid-19. Customers will also need to be vaccinated and provide negative PCR results less than 72 hours before boarding.

The first rate offered is $ 1999 for seven nights including transport to Sint Maarten.

“Returning to the Caribbean after more than a year of absence is such an important moment for us. It marks the measured start of the end of what has been a particularly difficult time for everyone. We have been in constant contact with the leaders of St. Maarten over the past few months to support each other and share our learnings and best practices, ”says Celebrity Cruises President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo

“Being the home port of a major cruise line is an important economic milestone for St. Maarten. It is a historic agreement, the fruit of a permanent dialogue and a testimony to the strength of our long-standing relations ”, confides for her part the Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (TEATT), Ludmila de Weever who "looks forward to the successful relaunch of their Caribbean cruise".
