As part of the "My Euro 2016" project, eight elementary schools in Saint Martin played yesterday morning at the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium, a large football tournament organized as part of the 110 measures of the youth plan of the Other -Sea. The Nina Duverly school stood out by winning the competition!
Emmanuel Effantin, Head of Cabinet of the Prefect and Marie-Hélène Coutant, head of the Social Cohesion Pole responded to the invitation of the organizers of the "My Euro 2016" event. Both welcomed this great initiative bringing together nearly 200 students from the primary schools of Marie-Amélie Laydet, Emile Larmonie, Omer Arrondel, Aline Hanson, Elie Gibbs, Hervé Williams, Nina Duverly and Emile Choisy.
After the fictitious kick-off of the tournament given by Emmanuel Effantin, serious things started on the field with various knockout matches.
The young budding footballers were all motivated by the idea of winning the coveted trophy!
At the end of the tournament, the final victory went to the Nina Duverly school in front of Emile Larmonie, Aline Hanson taking third place.
During the awards ceremony, the organizers congratulated all of the participants for their brilliant performance. _AF
