The gendarme at the service of the population

The 28/1 mobile gendarmerie squadron of DRANCY is preparing to leave the Northern Islands to be replaced by the 26/7 of BELFORT.

Marc, 70, will long remember 3 soldiers posted with the DRANCY squadron. On May 15, 2016, while Christophe G, David C and Jérémie C are having lunch at the "Dream's" restaurant at Nettle Bay, Marc docks with his boat at the pontoon. As he moored his boat, he had a cardiac arrest and collapsed to the ground. The three soldiers therefore rush towards Marc who is no longer breathing. They alert the emergency services and practice the first gestures of resuscitation. After twenty minutes of cardiac massage, Marc finds a pulse and independent ventilation. The emergency services take care of him. Today, Marc is in good health.
