Initially planned around March 13, the official date, the fifth edition of the feast of colors of Saint Martin took place on Sunday, May 28 in Happy Bay, Mother's Day.
“We had a problem with our late order for colors. We had considered giving up but faced with the high demand we decided to keep the party going, even if the date is not exact ”explains Peter Sadarangani, the president of the association of the Indians of Saint Martin which organizes the event.
Each year, Holi is celebrated throughout India, from North to South, as well as by Indian communities abroad. This Hindu religious festival, which marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring, is an opportunity for young and old to spray themselves with powders and water of all colors.
