The latest epidemiological bulletin from the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS) indicates that since the start of surveillance in Guyana, 15.810 cases clinically suggestive of chikungunya have been estimated. The Kourou sector is the only area still in epidemic. "The weekly number of clinically suggestive cases has remained higher than the values observed at the start of the epidemic," said the institute.
