Disaster relief: € 1997250 (+ 3,2% in one year) for 21 projects
During the past year, two new projects helping disaster victims were financed for a total amount of 61 euros. The local association for victim assistance Trait d'Union received 500 euros to increase its psychological support capacities for the victims of Irma and Sem ta Route 41500 euros for the development of an alternative crèche (Babydou).
A total of 21 disaster relief projects were financed, including 16 in Saint-Martin for an amount of 1,48 million euros. France Victimes, Trait d'Union and the Red Cross are the three main structures that have received the most help: France Victime received 726300 euros for organizing the reception and support of evacuees, distributing aid to victims and homes the most in difficulty (around 350 households each received 1500 euros). The Red Cross received 300000 euros for its Squirrel food and material aid program.
100000 euros were granted to the Tournesol association for the creation of a disability center, 108 euros to the regional health agency for the establishment of a post-crisis health plan to take charge of psychotrauma in the islands du Nord, 000 euros to the Secours populaire français for its Copain du Monde project in the Caribbean.
