The original 2017 budget of the Collectivity was adopted last Saturday during the Territorial Council. Worth € 177 million, it was presented in balance. During the meeting, the CESC gave its opinion on this budget. “In trying to reconcile the budget guidelines with the announced program, we quickly realized that such an approach was premature. This draft budget is drawn up with a clear concern to make the least possible upheaval, while sparing the financial balance, the fragility of which is common knowledge ”, mentioned Georges Gumbs, president of the Economic Social and Cultural Council (CESC) , adding that the institution takes note "by hoping to see dawn, during an additional budget, the beginnings of the new Saint-Martin".
