Due to the drought, the Collectivity mobilized to help the breeders. The very first container, filled with livestock feed from Guadeloupe, arrived last Friday at the port of Galisbay.

The technicians of the Collectivity and Julien Gumbs of the association for the Development of Livestock and the Promotion of Local Agricultural Products (ADEPPAL) were present during this operation, announced the COM. "Farmers who previously filled out the declaration sheet to know the state of their livestock were, in fact, able to receive a first part of the aid granted (concentrated feed)", she notes. The forage should arrive around September 20. In the end, the aid paid to the association will make it possible to deliver “600 bags of feed for young cattle, 200 bags of feed for kids and 1026 fodder boots”.
