The expert committee of Saint-Martin considers that “the epidemiological situation corresponds to an end of the Zika epidemic” in the territory, according to the latest bulletin concerning the surveillance of the virus in the Northern Islands by the Regional Agency health (ARS).
The management committee is expected to meet soon. The territory is still placed in phase 3a of the Emergency surveillance, alert and management program (Psage) "Epidemic phase calling for usual management measures". Since the beginning of the year, the suggestive cases are low between 5 to 20 estimated per week. The number of consultations for Zika with a general practitioner - since the emergence of the virus - stands at 3.215, according to the bulletin. _EH
