The sailboat Wylde Swan - one of the member ships of the Caribbean Sail Training Association - anchors in our waters, after sailing in the Caribbean with young people on board, the association said. The students from the Netherlands visited several islands, including Grenada, Saint Lucia, Dominica and Saint Martin. It is Albéric Ellis, the director of the port of Galisbay, and his staff who will change the crew. The Wylde Swann will embark 28 other students by January 3, heading for paradise: the US Virgin Islands. Note that the ship will offer a free “maritime experience day” for young schoolchildren from Saint-Martin in early February. In 2017, the sailboat will participate in the races of large transatlantic ships.
