Throughout the week, Jean-François Merle, Inspector General of Agriculture, advisor for codification in the Legal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, is on a mission in the territory, announced the Community.
At the start of the week, Jean-François Merle met the president of the Aline Hanson community to present his mission to recodify the provisions overseas in the rural and maritime fishing code. The COM specifies that “the purpose of this mission is to exchange views with local institutions in order to assess the applicability of ordinary law in Saint-Martin, to identify needs and to propose changes to the law so that the specificities of our territory are taken into account in the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code ”. At the end of this ministerial mission, Mr. Merle will be able to make concrete proposals aimed at adapting common law to the specificities of the territory.
