Launched by the Ministry of National Education, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and the French sports movement, the 2nd edition of Olympic and Paralympic Week aims to combine physical and sports practices with moral and civic education for all students, from kindergarten to high school.

It takes place from January 27 to February 3, 2018. It was one of the major axes of Paris' candidacy for the organization of the JO-2024: youth, their education in sport, its practice and its values. This week therefore offers the opportunity to tackle fair play, equality, health and even the inclusion of students with disabilities.

In Saint-Martin, it is the association USEP Iles du Nord in partnership with the national education service of St Barthélemy and Saint-Martin which organized and coordinated the Olympic and Paralympic week.
