A training organized on the management of Invasive Alien Species in the Overseas Territories and in Saint-Martin!

0

Last week, La Réserve Naturelle de Saint-Martin hosted initial professional training on the management of Invasive Alien Species at its premises.

From the training catalog of the French Biodiversity Office (OFB), this event was hosted by the French Committee of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and its Invasive Exotic Species Resource Center.

The introduction of non-native animal or plant species is the main cause of erosion of our natural heritage.

Common iguana, green monkeys, lionfish, coral liana, sansevieria, Achatine, rat… were discussed at length during the three days of training in the presence of 11 actors from Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy or Saint-Martin.
