A real tragedy occurred today at the beginning of the afternoon on the beach of Orient Bay. A woman in her forties was indeed the victim of a fatal shark attack.
The facts happened right in front of a restaurant. The victim was swimming peacefully about a hundred meters from the edge when she was attacked by a shark (note: witnesses speak of a tiger shark). Despite the rapid arrival of a pleasure boat in the area and firefighters, the victim unfortunately did not survive his injuries. She had her leg torn off and numerous bite marks on her body were visible according to rescue teams.
