An international race of traditional boats organized in Saint-Martin!

An event not to be missed! Indeed, from May 4 to 8, the SXM Traditional Fun (Saint-Martin) and Caraiba Folie's International Associations are organizing the 1st edition of the “International Traditional Boat Race West Indies”, a major regatta reserved for traditional Saint-Martin boats.

« This is an excellent initiative in favor of Saint-Martin which will contribute to the regional cultural and sporting influence of our territory, well beyond the Northern Islands! "The Deputy of the North Islands, Daniel Gibbs, welcomes the organization of the 1st edition of the "International Traditional Boat Race West Indies".

This regatta is indeed a great opportunity to introduce residents of the island and many tourists to the nautical activities specific to the Caribbean archipelago.

Note that the Yoles of Martinique will be invited to promote this event.

The race will take place in four stages, in the presence of the 15 Bato'Péyi and Yoles. The event will travel to the different districts and beaches of the island.

There is no doubt that the big day crowd will be present throughout the four days of competition! AF

1st stage on May 4:

Departure: Marigot Bay

Arrival: Simpson Bay

2nd stage on May 5:

Departure: Simpson Bay

Arrival: Grand-Case Bay

(* Possibility stopover at Galion)

3nd stage on May 6:

Departure: Grand-Case Bay

Arrival: Sandy Ground (Anguilla)

4nd stage on May 7:

Departure: Sandy Ground (Anguilla)

Arrival: Marigot Bay
