Météo France regularly publishes its seasonal forecasts. Regarding our area, December 2016 and January 2017 should be hot.
This work is not easy for climatologists, since “the performance of seasonal forecasts is very variable”. For the Lesser Antilles and Guyana, "they are better in the presence of El Niño or La Niña phenomena", indicates the institution on its site. Regarding the 2015 climate report, the Northern Islands, like Guadeloupe, had “a very dry and hot year”. A drought record was even beaten in Gustavia, in Saint-Barthélemy (since the measurements of 1959): 465 mm of rain, recorded at the station, against an annual normal (1981-2010) of 959 mm. _EH
