A mask for all: less than a quarter was recovered by the population

0

The distribution of masks made on a voluntary basis by 52 seamstresses as part of the “Un masque pour tous” operation, took place on Wednesday, May 27 at Sandy Ground, Galisbay, Grand-Case and Quartier d'Orléans. 34000 masks were available but only 8412 were collected by the population, or just under a quarter.

The prefecture, which had requested the assistance of the military to ensure distribution in the neighborhoods, is currently considering how to make the remaining masks available.

Note that in mid-May 3500 masks had already been donated to schools.
