An airport reconstituted for the education of students!

The Professional College of the Northern Islands inaugurated, last Wednesday, a new educational workshop: the reproduction of an airport hall!

For students in the Terminals class of the Bac Pro ARCU “Home-Customer-Customer Relationship” user, this new workroom is a concrete tool giving meaning to their learning, the educational airport allows them to amplify their field of learning by putting them into practical situations: the workshop consists of a registration area, a sales counter, an information point and a small transit room.

Ms. Sabrina Lauzis, the professor behind the design of the educational airport, explains her approach: "many students are interested in the air trades, this workshop puts them into practice and brings them more realism . "

Ms. Janine Hamlet, principal of the vocational high school appreciates the pedagogical approaches initiated by the teachers for the students, she thanks the Fondation de France and Semsamar for their contributions to the success of the project: “Despite the often negative newspaper headlines, there are all the same in our establishments beneficial and positive actions for our students, that this educational workshop can serve as an example! ”, she concludes!

To complete their teaching, the terminale class is drawing up a plan to go to Paris in March with the objective of visiting Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport to discover the path the passenger travels from upon arrival in the airport until boarding the plane.

The class will also visit training centers in the hospitality and transport professions.

To contribute to the funding of this educational trip, Ms. Lauzis, invites the people of Saint-Martin to participate in the free throw competition at the Vanterpool Stadium on Saturday February 16 from 14 p.m. Come many, it's for a good cause!
