According to the report “Survival of people with cancer in metropolitan France 1989-2013” ​​released this week, the medium-term lifespan of adults with cancers of the prostate, breast and colon-rectum has increased slightly. These are the three most common cancers in France. This study was carried out on more than 535.000 cases (between 1989 and 2010), covering 53 types of cancer. This report was published jointly by the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS), the Francim network of cancer registers, the National Cancer Institute (INCa) and the hospitals in Lyon.
