Sunset Beach Triathlon: A sporting Easter weekend for the many participants!

The Sunset Mini Triple Triathlon organized by the Association Tri-Sport last Sunday at the Sunset Bar and Grill in Beacon Hill brought together nearly 50 athletes, confirmed or not ready to take up the challenge.

Among the many participants registered in this original event, we will note the remarkable presence of the youngest of the event, Ryan Benjamin (8 years old) and Mia Pigeon (10 years old) who trained with their coaches, Krispijn Teunissen and Eline de Broere for be ready on D-Day. Bravo to the young triathletes!

As the name suggests, the Sunset Mini Triple Triathlon has three races. Thus, the athlete has one hour to complete the test before starting the next race. It can take from 27 minutes to 50 minutes to complete a race.

For the 1st event, each athlete must complete 1 meters of swimming, 200 km of cycling and 8,5 km of running against 2 meters of swimming, 200 km of cycling and 8,5 km of running for the 2nd event. and finally, 2 meters of swimming, 200 km of running and 2 km by bike for the 8,5rd and last test.

In terms of results, congratulations to Caroline Delplanque who retains her title in the women's category with an overall time of 1h26 minutes and 53 seconds for the three races covered. Hats off!

For the men, Grégory Pigeon did not make a pass of two and had to bow to the member of the Saint-Barth Triathlon, Fabien Husson. _AF
