Chaired by Isaac Germain, Swalicab Taxi Service is a recently created association which brings together some of the taxi drivers from the French side.
"This is not one more association, but a new tool entirely dedicated to supporting professionals in the transport sector and serving the economic development of Saint Martin", specifies Raymond Helligar, technical advisor within the association .
Swalicab Taxi Service has set four objectives: to permanently install its headquarters and offices in Quartier d'Orléans, develop partnerships, develop a support and training activity for its members and organize the transport sector.
One of the first actions that the association wishes for before the start of the tourist season set up is the development of a mobile application. "We will own the application, we have contacted a developer," says Raymond Helligar. “A grant application file has been submitted collectively.
