0

The Collectivity intends to continue repairing the roads which have not been the subject of any maintenance campaign since 2010. At the end of last year, a first phase of pavement work was carried out from the border points of Orleans and Oyster Pond neighborhood to the Agrément roundabout.

Today the COM is launching a new contract for a project management mission for the realization of road works between 2021 and 2023. They will consist on the one hand in the repair of structures and pavements not carried out between Oyster-Pond and Approval, precisely at the height of Rambaud, Cripple-Gate and Morne-Valois, the road to Friar's-Bay, the road to Colombier, the boulevard Léonel Bertin-Maurice between the rue des Lambis and the road to Esperance, the RN7 to height of the Hope-Estate bend, on the other hand by repairing the structures and pavements between Agrément and the Terres Basses, namely rue de Hollande, rue Nana-Clark, boulevard du Docteur Hubert Petit, rue des Terres-Basses, rue de Sandy-Ground, Boulevard de France, rue de Low-Town, downtown Marigot streets and main streets in Concordia.

In addition, it is also planned to reinforce the embankment at Morne O 'Reilly, to create a sidewalk between the road of Coconut Grove and the street Round The Pond, a summary repair of the roads linked to the Fort-Louis marina. In some sectors, horizontal and vertical signage will also be changed, safety barriers will be installed and street furniture suitable for vehicle traffic or for limiting it (posts, barriers, bollards, protection of street lights, etc. ) will be renovated. A mineralization of certain service roads, in particular in Quartier d'Orléans, is planned.

All of this work is estimated at 6 million euros. The COM is finally considering the redevelopment of the Chambar bend in Quartier d'Orléans.

The objective for the Collectivity is to sign this project management contract at the end of June.
