COVID-19 TEST: Opening of a second drive in Friar's Bay

0

Since November 4, people departing from Saint-Martin and going to Guadeloupe must present a negative PCR or antigen test unless they are in transit to and from Paris.

The priority remains the realization of a PCR test, specifies the ARS. For this, it is up to everyone to anticipate by going to the drive of the Louis Constant Fleming hospital, so that the negative result is returned less than 72 hours before the flight between Saint-Martin and Pointe à Pitre, the drive being open from Monday. to Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a capacity of 50 samples / day.

In the event of difficulties in accessing RT-PCR tests (such as an inability to make an appointment, an unforeseen and unscheduled trip), it is possible, upon justification, to perform an antigen test in the complementary screening center deployed by the ARS in partnership with the Red Cross. It is located in Friar's bay (signs indicate the exact location) and not in Concordia as we had indicated.

This has been operational since November 4, 2020, at the following times: 9 a.m. to 16 p.m. Monday to Friday. The principle remains the same: a nasal swab taken by a healthcare professional, but the result is faster (less than 30 minutes).

This test is however less sensitive and less specific than the RT-PCR test. The supporting document produced with a negative result must be dated less than 48 hours before the flight.
