COVID-19 test compulsory between Saint-Martin and Guadeloupe: the ARS and the Prefecture communicate on the practical modalities

0

Guadeloupe is strengthening the health measures for entering its territory. In this context, a negative test for COVID-19 has been requested from people coming from Saint-Martin since November 4, 2020.

Any traveler to Pointe à Pitre must provide proof of a negative COVID 19 test as follows:

The priority remains the realization of a PCR test. For this, it is up to everyone to anticipate by going to the drive of the CH Louis Constant Fleming, so that the negative result is returned less than 72 hours before the flight between Saint-Martin and Pointe à Pitre.

LC hospital drive hours. Fleming: 8:00 a.m. to 11:XNUMX a.m. Monday to Friday.

In the event of difficulties in accessing RT-PCR tests (such as an inability to make an appointment, an unforeseen and unscheduled trip) it will be possible, upon justification, to perform an antigen test in the complementary screening center deployed by the ARS in partnership with the Red Cross. It is located in Friar's bay (signs indicate the exact location).

It is operational from November 4, 2020, at the following times: 9 a.m. to 16 p.m. Monday to Friday. The principle remains the same: a nasal swab taken by a healthcare professional, but the result is faster (less than 30 minutes). This test is however less sensitive and less specific than the RT-PCR test. The supporting document produced with a negative result must be dated less than 48 hours before the flight.

Only the following are exempt from testing:

- children under 11 years old

- passengers from Saint-Martin in transit through Guadeloupe to Paris

- those who depart from Guadeloupe make a return trip of less than 48 hours to Saint-Martin

The compelling reasons for displacement remain in effect. An evaluation of the device will be made and it can be adjusted according to the situation.
