Tropical storm "Jerry": The Northern Islands placed on yellow alert ... for now!

0

In a press release, the Prefecture indicates that it has triggered cyclone yellow vigilance for the northern islands.

The latest forecasts from Météo France show a tropical storm "Jerry" over the Atlantic, with a West North-West trajectory, the passage of which into a category 1 cyclone cannot be excluded.

The environment in which it operates is currently conducive to its development. The planned trajectory could approach this phenomenon on the fringes of the Northern Islands, which however remain in the cone of uncertainty, between Friday 20 and Saturday 21 September.

However, the trajectory and intensity of the phenomenon are still very uncertain.

Given these elements, the Prefecture of Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin has triggered cyclone yellow vigilance and reminds everyone of the need to anticipate and prepare for any meteorological phenomenon.
