Like every year, the various Lions Clubs of the Northern Islands take care of the standard of calls for donations to 3637.
For this 2016 edition, the Lions Club of Saint-Barthélemy was in charge and the figure for pledges from the two islands combined is impressive: € 25.800!
On the other hand, the Lions Club Oualichi renewed, as every year, its action “Pakers Boys and Girls for the Telethon”, at the Super U ticket office on Saturday December 3, from 9 am to 14 pm and we made a great recipe which will be sent directly to AFM-TELETHON Paris: € 540.
The Lions Club Oualichi would like to thank the children of the association "SOS Children of the Northern Islands" and its president Yva, the Crousty Bread Bakery, the Management and Staff of Super U as well as all the donors for their great generosity.
At the national level, the Telethon has become in the space of 30 years an unprecedented event, bringing together five million people in front of their small screen or during activities organized in more than 10 municipalities. It has drained funds which have made it possible to support more than 000 research projects on rare diseases which affect three million people in France.
The 2016 edition of the Telethon raised more than 80 million euros in pledges. _AF
