Five members (three juniors and two cadets) from the SXM Surf Explorer Club participated last weekend at Anse Bertrand in the 1st Guadeloupe Cup, qualifying for the Guadeloupe championships.
The best result is attributed to Léo Engelmann (cadet category) who stopped at the gates of the final despite an incisive surf in the semi-final: “he is gradually regaining confidence because he had stopped competing following Irma.
This good result will give him confidence for the rest of the season, ”said coach Franck RIGAL-PEYROT.
Next step next December in St Barth where the team will be more substantial with new young competitors wishing to embark on the deep end of the competition.
