Six young surfers from the Swaliga Surf Rider's Association participated in the last round of the Guadeloupe Cup in early February, qualifying for the grand final of the Guadeloupe championships.

On the Moule spot, the young surfers of "Swaliga Surf Rider's" did not hesitate to brave the elements (strong wind / current / chopped waves) to practice their favorite discipline. In short, after this weather point, place the results!

Among the cadets, despite an honorable performance, Léo Engelmann did not manage to obtain his ticket for the last four, unlike Chucho Nonnot who signed the best result with a third qualification in a row in the semi-final.

He thus consolidates his rank in the general classification, which offers him the possibility of qualifying for the French championships. "He's a hell of a competitor, he never gives up in series, I have high hopes for next month," said his coach, Franck Rigal.

On the junior side, Noa Tasso obtained the best score in the quarterfinals but without back up. He failed at one point to reach the semi-final to join Yann Durand who managed to extricate himself from his series.

"Again, all hopes are allowed for a qualification of Noa Tasso and Yann Durand, both having accumulated precious points for their participation in the grand final," said the coach.

An intensive program now awaits young Saint-Martin surfers, more motivated than ever to the idea of competing next month against the best Guadeloupeans of the Pôle Espoir.

I deflected it! _AF
