SPORT & NAUTISM / Discovery of Outdoor Activities: a second edition in an improved version

0

The system set up by the Nautical Club (CNSM) aimed at guaranteeing children access to sport is back in force with this second session during the winter holidays.

The initial concept remains the same, namely that each child receives a book of 10 tickets with a total value of € 200, one of which gives access to a sporting activity.

The evolution of the project lies in the transition to the full day from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m. instead of the half-day. Logistics therefore had to be adapted, meals were provided free of charge to the children. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea were delivered and distributed by Lainez. Bus transport was still organized by the association.

Another notable difference is the number of activities offered. Formerly 3, it is now 5 sports that the children could test and practice in rotation of 1h30 between each activity.

Swimming, kayaking, upbeat sailing (on a small boat that holds 2 to 3 people) and schooner (on a boat that can accommodate up to 10 people), beach tennis, boxing and beach rugby (led by BAFAs).

If Wednesday was devoted to the children of Quartier d'Orléans, it was those of Concordia and Sandy Ground who took possession of the beach of Friar's Bay on Thursday and Friday, where the fantastic team of the DAPA device and its partners had relocated. . 80 children per day followed one another through the proposed activities. Of these 80 children, 20% were new compared to the previous edition. DAPA would have no place without the Regional Academic Delegation for Youth, Engagement and Sport (DRAJES), the General Commission for Territorial Equality (CGET) and the Family Allowance Fund (CAF) ). Their partners are the Friar's Bay Sailing Club, AFPS (for swimming and bathing supervision), ABC Intersport, Kakao Beach Club and UNSS Monts des Accords. Next session during the Spring holidays._VX
