For the second consecutive year, young people from the Leo Club Safari, the Lions Club Fort Louis and Doyen organized a Christmas in favor of the children welcomed at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital, within the COBRACED and AIDES associations, and families in difficulty of priority neighborhoods on the island. Father Christmas gave each of the children a gift suited to their age as well as a snack.
The Leo Club Safari, had launched the operation "Un Sapin à Wishes" at the beginning of December, for the end of year celebrations. Until December 15, the club collected toys for children and adolescents, with the aim of giving them to the 200 children from families benefiting from the associations COBRACED, AIDES and the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital.
The operation turned out to be a real success. Almost all the angels have found a godfather and/or a godmother. The population, as usual, was extremely supportive and the members of Leo Club SAFARI thank these generous donors.
The young people continued the distribution of gifts in Grand-Case, Quartier d'Orléans and Sandy-Ground.
In this difficult period, a simple gesture around us can give a smile to the other.
The second part of the day was financed thanks to the collection of toys which had taken place on 2 Saturdays in December. Toys and books were also offered by the Service jeunesse & sport of the community of Saint-Martin.
