The softball tournament organized by the SXM Sport Mouvement association is coming to an end. Last Sunday was the first round between the two finalist teams, the “Ilegales” and “Control”.
The two teams will face each other for the final with a series of five sets. The “Control” team won the first round by a score of 15 to 9, after a hard-fought match. The first team to win three rounds, out of the five, will be declared the winner. The next meeting is set for Sunday, June 20, and depending on the time played, the last round could be played on Sunday, June 27.
Young people on the bridge
Last Sunday, around twenty young people, aged 6 to 15, took part in baseball training on the lawn of the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium. After having assimilated the technical gestures and the principles of this discipline for several months, the coaches make them participate in small matches between them, before going to rub shoulders with teams from the Dutch side.
There is a great atmosphere in the youth group, so on Mother's Day the parents organized a nice lunch after the training session.
The members of the SXM Sport Mouvement Association would like to thank their many partners and more particularly the McDonald's in Saint-Martin, without whom these days could not have taken place.
