0

In April 2017, regional telluric activity displayed “a significant number of earthquakes compared to the number that has been observed in recent months”, according to the Guadeloupe Volcanological and Seismological Observatory (OVSG). A total of 1027 earthquakes of tectonic origin of maximum magnitude 5.8 on the Richter scale were identified within a radius of 450 km around Guadeloupe. Regarding the Northern Islands, an earthquake of magnitude 3.2 was recorded south-southeast of Saint-Barthélemy on April 27. "The actual intensities (effects of an earthquake in a given place) can only be correctly determined by collecting testimonies," recalls the observatory. If you experience a tremor, do not hesitate to report it on the following site: www.franceseisme.fr. _EH
